Hanuman Maui Ram Dass Loving Awareness Spring Retreat

Hanuman Maui is excited to present it’s 1st Ram Dass Loving Awareness Spring Retreat at the Napili Kai Beach Resort , Wednesday April 29 through Sunday May 3rd that will serve as a Fund Raising Retreat for this fledgling Maui-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization to support them with their Mission and support of their public outreach community services.
Hanuman Maui was founded in 2020, (after the passing of Ram Dass (Richard Alpert) December 22, 2019), as an “Intergenerational Community”, formed to preserve Ram Dass’ House and Property as a Spiritual Sanctuary. Ram Dass’s room, study and living quarters are maintained as they were when he passed.
“The House” and the nourishing vegetable gardens, fruit trees, serve as sacred spaces including the Hanuman Mandir and Loving Awareness Garden where some of Ram Dass’s ashes were planted under a mango tree at that time. 100% of the net proceeds from this Retreat will go to continue and further this Hanuman Maui Mission_Community Service Out Reach
Love Service Devotion: A Hanuman Chalisa Immersion

Join us for a sacred weekend immersion into the Hanuman Chalisa, one of the most beloved devotional prayers of the bhakti tradition. Love Service Devotion is an invitation to step beyond fear and limitation and into trust, courage, and wholehearted devotion—guided by the example of Hanuman, the embodiment of faith in action.
Over the course of the weekend, Govind Das and Rama Chandra Das will offer heartfelt teachings, stories from the Ramayana, and contemplative reflections that illuminate the deeper meaning of the Chalisa—line by line and through lived experience. Through chanting the Chalisa, Kirtan, Japa Meditation, discussion and shared inquiry, we will explore how Hanuman’s surrender, strength, and humility can become living principles in our own lives.
This immersion is designed not only to deepen understanding, but to awaken personal relationship with the Chalisa as a daily companion—one that supports us through doubt, challenge, service, and transformation. Together we will explore what it means to take a true leap of faith: trusting the heart, offering ourselves in service, and allowing grace to carry us forward.
This retreat is open to all—whether you are new to the Hanuman Chalisa or have been chanting it for years. Come as you are, and leave nourished, inspired, and rooted more deeply in devotion.
