Yoga & Drums with Clay Campbell
Sundays 12pm

What to bring: Any type of hand drum/shaker/percussion Your Yoga mat(if you don't have one you can borrow) An open heart and willingness to have fun! Historians say yoga has been around for over 6000 years. Drums have been dated back to 6000BC. It is time to blend both of these powerful modalities into one heart-based experience. Let's come together to expand our mind, body, and soul with the practice of yoga and drumming. We will integrate breath, movement, and rhythm into a powerful asana experience and allow the inner musician that we all have inside of us to emerge. Some drums will be provided.

Clayton originally found yoga to help balance out his chosen profession as a punk/metal drummer and bartender. Keeping his new found passion a secret, he practiced for 6 months to find ways to bring harmony to a hectic lifestyle. Eventually, his practice faded, but always stayed with him, when he returned to dedicate his life to the mind body connection.

Through hatha, vinyasa flow, & Acroyoga classes, Clayton dove deep in to different and playful yoga modalities, gaining a wide variety of tools and approaches. Expect a challenging yet restorative class with strong emphasis on the power of the breath, smiling, and connecting with ones heart. Great music, sweat, and over all healing are the foundation of every class where all levels are welcome. Clayton's punk rock/metal days give him a down to earth sense of humor that is refreshing in the yoga scene.

Bodywork/ Rolfing
Having been practicing massage and bodywork since 1998, he has been fascinated with the human body and it's energetic potential. After receiving his first degree in Structural Integration(Rolfing) in 2002, he searched out ways to further the bodies ability to expand and grow, both physically and energetically. He received another degree in SI(Rolfing) in 2006 and is currently working on his fourth degree in bodywork from Judith Aston, in Aston Kinetics.

Yoga Training
He completed his training with Saul David Raye. He has had the privilege of studying with Sri Dharma Mittra, Shiva Rae, Duncan Wong, Eric Shiffman, and Govindas.

KIRTAN
Clayton was deeply affected when he saw Krishna Das in 2009. Since then, he said to the universe, "I want to play Kirtan all the time." It has since become part of his practice. He played his first Kirtan with his teacher, Saul David Raye, and has not stopped. He plays weekly Kirtan Flow classes every Sunday with Govindas & Radha. As well, he plays monthly Kirtans with Govindas & Radha, Andres Salcedo, Ryan Brewer, & Tera Gold. He has had the privilege of playing with The B.O.L.T, Joey Lugassy, Ena Vie, Momo Loudiyi, Zat Baraka, Steve Gold, & many others. Clayton is a drummer/percussionist.

"Kirtan touches my heart and soul like nothing else. I love it!"
