Mona Asinovski

Mona Asinovski enjoys yoga as a way of creating a meaningful life. She has studied a variety of philosophies at New York University, and developed her own concentration, “The Relationship Between Honesty and Desire”. Largely influenced by existentialism, this concentration is about the importance of keeping your integrity, no matter what. Since this transformational discovery, life has been an attempt to live up to that, and is a constant refinement of this practice.

Mona loves yoga and has found it to be the most powerful transformational tool that she has ever discovered; it can take a person from any state, any condition, and within an hour’s time guide them into radiance and bliss. Asana, meditation and self-reflection also offer a means of learning to balance polarities, an excellent metaphor for life itself.

Mona took her 200hr with master teacher Sam Chase at Yoga to the People in 2009. Since then, she’s been on a yoga journey that has acquainted her with tibetan heart yoga, iyengar, anusara and prana flow. Mona is addicted to knowledge and cannot wait to see what the world will teach her next…

Inspired Vinyasa:
Inspired vinyasa uses the building blocks of a physical practice to construct a space for mental, emotional and spiritual transformation. Classes revolve around a theme such as "love marathon", "invisibility and visibility" or "anxiety's edge". My three favorite concepts are courage, clarity and compassion, and those subjects come up a lot. Take this journey lightly- it is about play and self-discovery, and I hope I can inspire you to follow your own path....
