Ashley Wynn - Sundays 8am (75 mins)
BEGINNERS MIND YOGA 🔥
BEGINNERS MIND YOGA is a practice where all ages are invited to come explore yoga with an open mind and heart! Yoga is for EVERYBODY, so please feel welcome to join us in movements, breathing and mindfulness practices. It doesn’t matter your age, shape or flexibility as this class will open you up to all of the bliss and joy that yoga has to offer.
Ashley is in deep gratitude to all of her teachers both in and out of the “classroom.” Dancing with joy since the womb and began learning about yoga 15 years ago. Ashley has studied many aspects of the 8 limbs of yoga described by Patanjali as well as other forms of eastern and western philosophies.
It is Bhakti yoga, the yoga of the heart, which has spoken to her the loudest. Recording her first album, Love is the Answer Jai Ma, guiding a Retreat in Africa, Leading RYT 200 Hour Teacher Training at her yoga studio, The Grateful Yogi in 2014 and Visiting the Santosh Puri Ashram in 2009 in India were Ashley’s deepest personal experiences to date.
These experiences created the foundation of her personal practice. “I feel being a student, and always being aware that I am indeed a student, even when I teach allows for oneness and union that embodies yoga and takes the experience way beyond a mat.” Her teaching philosophy is based on Krishnamacharya's fundamental principle that yoga must ALWAYS be adapted to an individual's CHANGING needs in order to derive the maximum therapeutic benefits. She began with her first teacher training in 2003 and has never stopped studying.
While Ashley’s class format is always different, you can expect that her classes will include elements of bhakti & hatha vinyasa, dance, meditation, pranayama, self-love, community-building exercises like kirtan and devotion, as well as gratitude. Her commitment, self-love and her own truth can be felt in each class she teaches.
Come to Ashley’s class to let go of stress, have fun, be inspired, and dive into any fears that have prevented you from living your truth. “Love and honor this body it’s your temple, treat it the way you would treat a lover! The body, mind, heart, and soul are all ours to enjoy. Live life passionately, and CONNECT...yoga is a tool to apply to our - REAL LIFE not just something we do 90 min. on a mat in a studio. But something that just blends into our entire being and existence and just becomes part of who we are.”
